Zanele Khumalo —
Young Female Farmer

Khumalo Agri Holdings is a company that operates mainly in the production and deliverance of agricultural goods and services such as livestock production and vegetables. Khumalo Agri Holdings is the name under which I have registered the business and is trading as SETLHARE FARM. The company has one member, Zanele Khumalo, young female farmer.

Our key milestones have always been to be given an opportunity to up-scale our production of goods and services in piggery production with meaningful managed skills and knowledge I as the founder have attained through necessary educational training and childhood experience. As a company we constantly strive to improve our business activities in order to be able to attain our main objectives such as providing food, sharing and educating others about agriculture as well as working in ways that will allow us to improve, grow and expand as a company.

08 Turn the farm into an agricultural training facility to share knowledge with aspiring farmers

Our Commitment

Three Pillars of Sustainability

Environmental

We can set up a system that will allow us to decrease the level of pollution on the farm; for example reusing livestock manure into our vegetable production sites. Responsible waste management and water use are central to our operations.

Social

Our social responsibility is the action we take to alert and be fully liable for our staff, neighbours and visitors if any duty is taken that may put their lives or health at risk — e.g. Veld Fire management, environmental affairs, and safe working conditions.

Economic

We will take full authority by consistently paying legalities and levies involved such as lease payments, taxes, UIF and ensuring full labour law compliance. Transparent financial management underpins everything we do.
